Petitioner
|
A Petitioner may cast a "negative vote" in addition to their normal vote. The "negative vote" counts against a player's elimination, requiring an extra vote for them to be eliminated.
Standard version
A Petitioner may use [heal] tags or another method distinct from normal voting specified in the Role PM to cast a negative vote, which subtracts 1 from their vote count. For example, a player at E-1 who receives a negative vote will be at E-2. This gives the Petitioner an ability to discourage an unwanted elimination.
A Petitioner counts as a normal player for determining the elimination threshold.
Variations
A Voteless Petitioner can be called a Minusvoter as they only have a negative vote.
A Governor can outright forbid unwanted eliminations.
Sample Role PMs
The standardized Role PM for "Petitioner" describes the passive ability as follows:
- As an unmodified passive ability:
You may cast a negative vote during Day. This will remove a vote from their vote count.
(edit)
- As a passive ability with a modifier:
You may cast a negative vote during the nth Day OR Day on day n. This will remove a vote from their vote count.
(edit)
Example (unmodified)
Welcome to game! You are a Town Petitioner.
You may cast a negative vote during Day. This will remove a vote from their vote count.
You have no active abilities.
You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
