Peek a boo mafia
Peek a Boo Mafia is a semi-open setup, derived from this Mafia Discussion thread, designed to analyze the benefits and temptations of not being able to look at one's role pm.
Upon thread opening, each player is given two role PMs. One that they must open immediately and one that they can open at any time. In the one they must immediately open, there is a percentage, this is the percent likelihood that they are town. Also given is the name of someone else with whom they would most likely be scum with. In the other PM, the one that they can open, is their actual role PM. Every Game Day that their role PM is not opened, that PM will be "edited" and will gain bonuses. Bonuses grow greater as the game goes on.
The first post of the game thread will have all of the players names. If the player has read their role PM, then that will be noted by their username being bolded.
The players know that their are 2 scum and 7 town.
How the Actual Alignment is Determined
Every player is given a randomized percent. That will be the likelihood that they are town.
The players are then randomized. A number between 1 and 100 is then privately drawn for each player and if that number falls in between 1 and their Town Percentage, then they are town. The first two numbers that fall outside of the town percentages are scum. If necessary, the numbers will be rerolled.
