Head Start is a modifier (backformed from Cop Head Start) that allows a role to act during pregame.

Standard version

A Head Start role may act during pregame, treating it as a Night phase.

Head Start can be combined with Even/Odd Night, allowing a role to act during pregame and even or odd nights.

Variations

Pregame is the Night Specific variant of Head Start.

Use & Balance

Head Start can be used to give investigative roles a result they can take into Day 1.

Example (modifying an active ability)

Welcome to game! You are a Town Head Start Jailkeeper.

You have the following active ability:

  • On pregame and each Night, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will be protected from kills that night, but all their actions will be blocked that night.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
