Mafia Games

(in order of when I joined the game)

Newbie 580: Town, Lost and was lynched. I was lynched day 1 in Newbie 580 as a townie. I made a bunch of mistakes, and after a ridiculous day one (20+ pages), people decided they had to lynch someone, and I was definitely the scummiest. Looking back on the game, I can't believe they took so long to lynch. I played horribly, but I learned a whole lot about the mechanics of mafia that I hopefully can apply to my second game! I replaced into this game on page three I think just a little after the random voting ended. The game ended with a flawless scum win. If I had calmed down a little bit, I think we could have one. I found one of the scum, but it was just after too many mistakes.

Mini 553: Town, Alive and Won. I replaced into Mini 553 day 2. The game had some serious modding issues. Scum played an extraordinary gambit that would have won them the game. I backed up the cop and I only had one investigation (other target was NKed, so I didn't know my sanity. Because of the mod issues, I realized that I had to be sane, so then I was able to lead town to victory in the last day. I learned how important it is for cops to get investigations most of the nights (not target a likely NK). If it hadn't been for the mod error, I never would have figured out my sanity. The only big mistake I made was allowing Guardian to convince us to not lynch him. I need to be more sure of myself in the future.

Newbie 607: Town, Game was canceled. I also replaced into Newbie 607. The game was canceled because Gimbo got bored and outed himself and his partner, SL as scum. Gimbo got banned for doing this. Anyway, the town definitely was going to lose. There were a couple of players that insisted on attacking another player for bad reasons. When I stepped in, I got accused of defending another player. There was also some town players that were just really really scummy. If Gimbo hadn't blown it, scum would have easily lurked to the end. This game made me decide that I prefer playing in Mini games over playing in Newbie Games. I also learned that I need to be even more careful and try to stop defending players.

Newbie 606: Town, Lynched, and lost. I also replaced into Newbie 606. It marks the fourth game I ever played in, and also the fourth game I replaced in. However; this was the 7th game that I completed. It was an incredibly long beast of a game that I played pretty badly. I led the town to lynch a cop-claim day 1 without a counter-claim (although he was extremely scummy). Also, throughout the whole game, I continually defended one of the scum-members. Later on, I tunnel-visioned on Destructor, a townie, and didn't stop attacking him, despite having no posts to show why I thought he was scum. I Learned a lot in this game. It's usually bad to lynch a cop day 1, don't defend other players, and be careful of unexplained tunnel-vision.

Mini 642: Town, Night-killed, and won. This was the first game I played from the beginning. It was a Bodyguard 7 game in which I worked hard to break, and found that town's chances jumped incredibly high after a mass-claim. After this, I found scum day 1 that was fake-claiming cop. Even without the real cop counter-claiming I knew he was scum. I was then NKed because of this, successfully taking the NK instead of our bodyguard. While I was dead, I found the other scum member, and town did too. Basically, I really played well this game. Even though I was attacked for "trying to hard to look pro-town," I really scum-hunted well.

Worst Roles Idea Mafia: Scum, Alive, and won. Another one I started from the beginning. I did well for it being my first game as scum. Despite the town lynching two scum in a row the first two days (and a third one was daykilled), me and cass stayed alive till the end and won. The game had a bunch of "worst roles," but I definitely think the game was winnable for town. The whole game no one even suspected me, and we basically chose who the lynch was going to be each day. I also devised a fake-claim for one of my scum-buddies that was going to work, but she was lynched anyway because she lurked. Another game I played really well in.

Mini 630: Town, Endgamed, and lost. Oh jeez, I played really horribly in this game. I replaced into a huge (page-length) game, and read it and quickly jumped to conclusions about who scum was. I was really busy and not able to defend myself against attacks. As a result, I basically just played like a sheep. Scum made a good fake-claim that fooled everyone, and town mislynched every day. I learned that I really need to make sure I'm thinking on my own and being flexible with my beliefs.

Mafia 89: Replaced out of, was winning scum. My first normal-sized mafia game. I did not replace into the game, but it was the only game I was forced replaced out of. I didn't have time to be active so I just lurked along, then the mod replaced me (i forgot the replacing rule listed in his rules). This was a bad game. I hate lurking.

I found mafiascum through a link to a comment on an XKCD blog about the "ghost" game. If you were the one who wrote that comment, thanks! (pm me or something).

Dedjka is banned from all my games for his completely offensive behavior in Open 143

Sir Cyanide is banned from all my games for blatant and unapologetic misogyny. Also, he uses a playstyle that many people find unacceptable. explained here.
