Guilty is one of the results an investigation role (such as a Cop) can receive when they investigate a player. Depending on sanity and how the mod sets up the game, there are a number of different reasons why a Cop would receive a Guilty investigation, such as:
- a Sane Cop investigating an anti-town player (Mafia, Serial Killer)
- a Sane Cop investigating a Miller
- an Insane Cop investigating a pro-town player
- a Paranoid Cop investigating any player
Of course, there are probably other game-specific situations where a Cop would receive a Guilty investigation.
