The ability to remove a [[player]] from the game during the [[night]] cycle of the game is nearly ubiquitous to [[Scum]] groups; it is analogous to the [[lynch]] available to [[Pro-Town]] players during the [[day]].

[[Mafia]] are not always required to kill every night; [[Serial Killer]]s often are, as a result of their insanity [[flavor]] text.

Once during each Night, a member of the faction (Mafia, Werewolves, or Serial Killer, usually) may be dispatched to kill a player. In effect, each scum group gets a free kill each Night. This is a standard mechanic.

While the semantics vary, this is typically used to refer to factional kills, as opposed to Vig shots.
