Talk:Comprehensive Modding Guide for 2010
- I'm more hard-headed, and willing to reject players for minimal reason.
- Totally disagreed on modkills; a modkill is often less disruptive to the game than a forced replacement.

- I don't recall saying that's a bad thing; just that you should be able to explain why you're rejecting players~
- We'll have to agree to disagree there.

To avoid the appearance of 'officialdom', can we move this back to its old title?

When a problem arises where this topic becomes considered "official" by more than one person, that may be considered.
This guide is currently in 'Articles', a subsection that I didn't even know about until it was moved there with pages that I doubt seven people have read over the past year. It's not in 'Theory', which is where most non-wiki regulars will look for information. I am literally spreading this page by word of mouth and strength of personality as is, and it is unlikely that people who do not regularly browse Mafia Discussion will see this page unless they are linked to it by someone who HAS seen it. Is that not enough obscurity?
Further, I am bending over backward to make this guide as complete and usable as possible - while not official, certainly the best thing one can get. This is no longer "my" project per se; I'm just the caretaker who has taken the time to revise it to fit views that are not my own.
Last, labeling it with my name specifically would damage its credibility, discounting the dozens of (enlightening!) edits suggested by a dozen people and relegating it to one person's take-it-or-leave-it opinion.
In other words, I dissent strongly and with considerable prejudice.

I agree with Vi.
FWIW I would like to see "setup: open vs. semi-open vs. closed" and "reveal: full va. partial vs. no" sections. Adel 04:17, 8 January 2010 (EST)
