Talk:Eliminate-or-Lose
Note that unless it's an Open Setup, only the mod ever REALLY knows that it's lynch or lose. Doc's and Vigilantes and other special roles can make an apparent lynch or lose situation not really lynch or lose. -- JEEP 2004-05-21 18:55 UTC
I contest the last sentence in this article. I've never seen it referred to that way. Actually, there's a whole host of things on the wiki that seem to have only appeared once and the player who sees them adds them to the wiki as a matter of course. I don't believe the wiki should be used as a tool for creating and spreading mafia jargon, or for self-promotion, which articles like Germy's Gambit and terminology only ever used once by one player, and roles invented at the drop of a hat by one player, seem to be. Many of the things on the mafiawiki are simply not common enough to warrant inclusion. But that's just me. Shanba 14:52, 30 November 2008 (MST)
- I contest the second sentence of your post. :-P I was reading through an old game (Mini 485: Formula One Mafia) and came across this term. You were in this game, incidentally. It was brought up by Zindaras in LyLo but you appeared to understand what it meant. I'm not sure if Zindaras was making up the term, especially when another player seemed to know what he was talking about. I completely agree with you that the wiki should not be used for the purposes you mentioned. If this not an occasionally used phrase, as I've mentioned it, to distinguish the two types of LyLo, then, yes, what I added can be edited out. 129.170.80.124 17:07 EST, November 30, 2008
