  • Negative Utility
Choice: none

Sleepy is a role modifier that makes a role function only if there are 5 or fewer players alive.

Standard version

A Sleepy role can only function if there are 5 or fewer players alive during whenever the role is to be active.

Variations

Sleepy can be defined as the role functioning if there are no more than 3 more townies than scum. However, if the faction sizes are not known, this would either require the player to be informed of this fact, or else to blindly submit actions in the hope that the conditions for being able to act are met.

Use & Balance

Sleepy is used to make a role that only works on the Night before MeLo or ELo.

Sample Role PMs

The standardized Role PM for "Sleepy" describes the modifier as follows:

  • As a modifier on an active ability: During a Night on which there are 5 or fewer players alive, (edit)
  • As a modifier on a passive ability: P2 when there are 5 or fewer players alive (edit)

Example (modifying an active ability)

Welcome to game! You are a Town Sleepy Jailkeeper.

You have the following active ability:

  • During a Night on which there are 5 or fewer players alive, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will be protected from kills that night, but all their actions will be blocked that night.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

Confirm by replying to this PM with a summary of your role.

Example (modifying a passive ability)

Welcome to game! You are a Sleepy Bulletproof Townie.

You are protected from kills that target you when there are 5 or fewer players alive.

You have no active abilities.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
