Hybrid: Hunger Games
Hybrid: Hunger Games was an anonymous Large Social Game that took place between February 21, 2020 and April 4, 2020. It was moderated by Malkon05, panthaleon and Ariel. DeasVail (AKA Fenrir) and Reundo (AKA Stitch) defeated fellow finalists Chemist1422 (AKA Tetra) and Espeonage (AKA Kirby).
The game was a novel format featuring elements from Endurance and Fresh Meat 2. In the first round, players competed to determine the picking order of their starting partner. From Round 2 onward, the game was played in pairs and had 3 phases per round: Immunity Challenge, Decision Phase, and Eliminator Phase. In the Immunity Challenge phase, District pairs competed, with the winning District becoming the Immune pair. In the Decision phase, the Immune pair had the opportunity to nominate a District to be in the Eliminator, and to submit a preference list in the event of a tie. All other Districts voted to send another District to compete in the Eliminator, submitting primary and secondary votes (in case their primary vote was nominated.) In the Eliminator Phase, generally the stronger performing member of each District would survive and become part of a new "Hybrid" pair. In the final round, the remaining two Districts faced off to determine the winning District.
