Mastina/Modified SWA
A modified version of Scum Wagon Average developed by mastina.
The system works with the following rules:
- The player must be town.
- It is up to the individual scummer on whether "town with additional win condition" counts as town, however, "town with alternative win condition" should not.
- For every instance in the game the player is vigged by a town-aligned player, is lynched by the town, or is on the lynch of town, assign -3 points.
- For every instance in the game the player is voting town when groupscum is lynched, assign -2 points.
- For every instance in the game the player is voting town when town is lynched, assign -1 points.
- For every instance in the game the player is not voting town when town is lynched, assign 1 point.
- For every instance in the game the player is voting groupscum, but not the lynched player--regardless of the alignment of the lynched player--assign 2 points.
- For every instance in the game the player is on the lynch wagon of groupscum, assign 3 points.
- For every instance in the game where the player is voting 3p, the lynch is 3p, or special circumstances apply (e.g. day-ending dayvig, Gladiator), assign 0 points.
- Given the outcome of events, calculate the worst possible score the player could have; calculate the best possible score the player could have.
- Calculate the range between them.
- The worst possible score becomes "0".
- The best possible score becomes the top of the range.
- Tally the player's actual score.
- Place the tallied actual score in the appropriate spot in the range.
- Divide the actual score by the best possible score.
- Getting mislynched on D1 is an automatic 0.
- The percentage generated is the accuracy rating for that game.
Examples
By the Numbers
Say the best possible score was 5; the worst possible score was -5; the actual score was 0.
- The range between -5 and 5 is 11 numbers.
- The worst possible score becomes 0.
- The best possible score becomes 10.
- 0 is 5 above the worst possible score of -5. 0 + 5 = 5, the appropriate spot in the range.
- Divide 5 by 10.
- The percentage generated, 50%, is the accuracy rating.
Say the best possible score was 11; the worst possible score was -4; the actual score was 6.
- The range between -4 and 11 is 16 numbers.
- The worst possible score becomes 0.
- The best possible score becomes 15.
- 6 is 10 above the worst possible score of -4. 0 + 10 = 10, the appropriate spot in the range.
- Divide 10 by 15.
- The percentage generated, 67%, is the accuracy rating.
Say the best possible score was 4; the worst possible score was -7; the actual score was 1.
- The range between -7 and 4 is 12 numbers.
- The worst possible score becomes 0.
- The best possible score becomes 11.
- 1 is 8 above the worst possible score of -7. 0 + 8 = 8, the appropriate spot in the range.
- Divide 8 by 11.
- The percentage generated, 72%, is the accuracy rating.
Best versus Worst
Say there is a game with three mislynches and three lynches of scum (ending the game in a town win).
- Being on all 3 scum lynches nets 3*3 = 9 points.
- Voting scum on all mislynch days nets 2*3 = 6 points.
- Being on all 3 town lynches nets -3*3 = -9 points.
- Voting town on all scum lynches nets -2*3 = -6 points.
- The best possible score would be 15 points.
- The worst possible score would be -15 points.
- The range between the best and worst scores would be 31 numbers.
Say there is a game with one mislynch and three lynches of scum (ending the game in a town win).
- Being on all 3 scum lynches nets 3*3 = 9 points.
- Voting scum on the town mislynch day nets 2 points.
- Being on the mislynch nets -3 points.
- Voting town on all scum lynches nets -2*3 = -6 points.
- The best possible score would be 11 points.
- The worst possible score would be -9 points.
- The range between the best and worst scores would be 21 numbers.
Say there is a game with four mislynches (ending the game in a scum win) and no scum lynches.
- Voting scum every day nets 2*4 = 8 points.
- Being on every mislynch nets -3*4 = -12 points.
- The best possible score is 8 points.
- The worst possible score is -12 points.
- The range between the best and worst scores would be 21 numbers.
