War in the Palace is an Open Setup designed by PokerFace and taking its name from Assassin in the Palace by Kelly Chen.
War in the Palace
- 1 Heir Alpha (win if other heir and anarchist die)
- 1 Heir Beta (win if other heir and anarchist die)
- 2-3 Guards (know Alpha Heir and win if that heir lives, other heir dies, and anarchist dies. Revealed as guard)
- 2-3 Guards (know Beta Heir and win if that heir lives, other heir dies, and anarchist dies. Revealed as guard)
- 1 Anarchist (doesn't know anyone, wins if both Heirs die, or is left alone with both heirs)
It is unlikly but possible for all players to die except for the 2 heirs. This will occur if say there are 5 players. Assassin is lynched and he bombs both the remaining guards leaving only the 2 heirs behind. In the event this occurs, the heirs will come to realize the horrors they have caused and agree to rule the country as a team. A happily ever after where the only looser is the assassin. The odds of this event are very slim, but it is still necessary to explain this outcome. Overall I don't want a speed post scenario where the winner is decided by who's computer is the fastest. I'd rather it end in a tie then have that occur

Heirs
You are Heir Alpha. You win the game if you are alive, Heir Beta is dead, and the Assassin is dead. You have a 1-shot kill you may use at any time. If the other king is still alive, then this kill must be done in thread by posting Kill: X. If Heir Beta is dead then you may PM the mod this kill. Use your vote to figure out who is on your side and weed out the rest.

Guard
You are a Guard. XXXX is your Heir. You believe them to be the one true ruler of your land. You win the game if XXXX is alive, the other Heir is dead, and the Assassin is dead. If your Heir dies you will immediately commit suicide out of shame. When you die you will be revealed as guard so that no one knows whom you were protecting. Use your vote to figure out who is on your side and weed out the rest.
Anarchist
You are the Anarchist. You have kill(s) you may use at any time during the game including at the time of your death. The number of kills you have is always equal to the number of Heirs currently alive in the game. If one Heir dies, you will loose one of your kills. No player is immune to kills. You win the game if Heir Alpha is dead and Heir Beta is dead. You don't have to be alive to win. You also win the game if all guards die and only you and both Heirs are alive. Use your vote and kills to bring an end to all order.

- WITP 1 The first WITP game was technically AiTPPPP3 and it was lost in a server crash. This was the first recorded WITP without AITPPPP flavor. I guess you can call it 1.0 or the second WITP game? Don't know if two halves make a hole, but when the assassin blows everything up nothing really matters!

- WITP 2 Like the very first WITP this one ran well. And unlike the second, there were no player errors. The assassin fairly won in a very entertaining game

- WITP 4 With remakes abandoned we return to classic WITP Flavor. Had some replacement issues in this one. I made some perhaps ill time mod kills. Should have done a re-roll of the setup at the start when 9 players became 6 and then 7, but in the end there was no true harm on the setup. So the game went well with the living players as the Assassin did not win this time. One of the kings survived the suicide bombing while the other did not.

- WITP 5 Another 7 player running of WITP with its classic flavor. Assassin play was awesome in this one as was the play of some guards and a king with no guards. Ultimately the assassin prevailed as the heirs could not work together to eliminate him early on. The more info the Assassin gets the more likely he is to win
