Marathon Day

Marathon Day was instituted by mith in 2007 for "International Mafia Day Month". It resulted in a new Game Forum for playing as many quick pick-up games as possible on March 28th (MafiaScum.net's anniversary date). Moderating requirements were relaxed for those games, and 22 games eventually ran successfully during the 'day' (actually slightly over 24 hours).

PookyTheMagicalBear ended up winning a special Scummie that year, partly due to his remarkable winning streak in Marathon games.

MD II

Due to some complaints about holding a Marathon on a Wednesday, the Second Marathon Day was held from 00:00 GMT on Saturday, March 29 until 07:00 GMT of Sunday, March 30, 2008. At least 25 games were played this day, with several others started but unfinished due to lack of sufficient players or interest.

MD III

Marathon Day III was held on September 27, 2008, with a few CPU quota errors showing up. discussion is ongoing for planned games, etc.

It will run from 0000 GMT on Sept. 27th to 0700 on Sept. 28th.
