Sacrificial
|
Sacrificial is a role modifier that causes you to die if the role attached is ever used. Once you sacrifice yourself to use your Sacrificial ability, nothing can stop your death. It is generally attached to extremely powerful roles as a counterbalance, such as a Dayvig or a Public Alignment Cop.
Standard version
Sacrificial causes you to unavoidably die if the ability attached to it is used. It should generally only be attached to active abilities.
Use & Balance
Sacrifical is used for extremely strong roles to act as a strong counterbalance. It works very elegantly on Reviver for example.
A Sacrifical Dayvig is a Suicide Bomber.
If this is attached to an investigative role, the investigation should be public or known to someone other than the Sacrificial player.
Sample Role PMs
The standardized Role PM for "Sacrificial" describes the modifier as follows:
- As a modifier on a single ability:
Using this action will cause you to unavoidably die.
(edit)
- As a modifier that affects all abilities:
Using an action will cause you to unavoidably die.
(edit)
Example (modifying a single ability)
Welcome to game! You are a Town Sacrificial Jailkeeper.
You have the following active ability:
- Each Night, you may target a player. Assuming no interference with your action, that player will be protected from kills that night, but all their actions will be blocked that night. Using this action will cause you to unavoidably die.
You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.
