Hi, my name is Ranmaru. Real name is Carlos. I’m 23, and I like to play mafia because it’s fun. I started playing it on smashboards. I also play smash, but I’m busier now with working out and school, so it’s rare for me to smash. Skill wise, I’m lower than mediocre I think. Others may think I’m worse than that, and I’m fine with that, as long as they help me in some way. Anyways, I always strive to improve. I suck at logic. I suck at a lot of things, so I can only really get better by a lot of practice. Personality wise, I always ask a lot of questions. I’m always curious, and I’m trying to improve how my questions help me. It’s simply my playstyle. I know the “this guy must be scum for always asking a lot of questions” tell will be coming, and especially from someone I read as town. It irritates me beyond belief. It makes me hesitate to join games here, but I’ll most likely try a newbie in the future or some normal to get back into it, once I have some time. My reads suck. Finding scum is hard.
I prefer being town as opposed to scum. I just hate being scum. I hate it less with help from players better than me. But still. I’m always more into being the good guy, rather than the bad guy. It’s a mindset thing.
I study at Temple University now. I’m majoring in Social Work, and want to minor in Computer Science. I do Yongmudo Hapkido every Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday. Trying to get fit you know. I’ll need to work in my professional life too, which has been in the back of my mind.
Really, just get to know me a bit, and you might like me. I'm a funny and nice guy.

Most thought lying = scum tells, etc. Even so, Sensfan gambitted masons with Toast, who was also townie. Toast's reaction was obv townie, but he then coasted the rest of the game. ;-; Anyways, I then gambitted being daycop, saying I got an inno on Sensfan. I wanted more stances from players because everyone would have lynched Sensfan just for lying. Beck came in trying to diffuse the gambit. He was town tho, even tho he seemed scummy in the beggining. After a while one could tell he was hunting for scum in his own way. I later gave up and let myself be lynched because I didn't want to be a liability during lylo, because everyone felt I was scum for gambitting daycop. Sorry town. It was fun tho. And I was ok with gambitting since it was a speed game. |

Even so, I was waffling HARD on her. I was going to go Crazy/Kunkstar first but Quilford hammered DGB saying "I just can't... I just can't..." which was kinda dumb. No dumb hammers plz. I'd have more to say but I don't remember. Even so, was a fun game, and a fun mechanic. Something to note, it seemed Crazy thought he'd have me on his side because of 'wifom' use and he was attacking someone who used it. He was confused as to why I was ok with it. I was just through experience. |

I replaced into a fresh game though. I was mafia, and once I replaced in, day started. This was my only gripe, was that I replaced in and didn't get much time to prep with my buddy, Epsilon Andrew. One thing you guys don't know, is that I'm very paranoid as scum. I have been like WAT at some of Ep's posts. His motives were to address my attackers or something. I of course made a whole wall of stuff (in word) for him to peruse so I could post it during the day and not waste time. He improved much afterwards. Luckily he wasn't looked hard upon, because of newbish vibes, and because the town was pretty wacky. Only person to notice me was Krazy, who had me as null. Rest of the town had me read as town. I didn't want to kill him at night because then I would be the only SE there, and it would seem weird for newbie scum to kill the IC but not the SE. OMG. I think I forgot to rolecop. Can you believe that? I forgot to send in an action. *facepalm* Even so I did use it at least once and found the jailer by accident! Basically I was talking about a popcorn setup, but not for claiming roles. Racer (da jailer) goes "NO!! NO MASSCLAIM!" So yeah. Ez role. Also, at lylo, I wanted to alpha stryke... But was paranoid since I didn't know if my buddy would be online or not. I'll just express both our thoughts through quotes: "Cmon Muffin man. I saw you post like 2 secs ago. Just vote stels now. I'm ready bro. *sees nothing* Ok man, I can tell telepathically that you don't want me to vote and screw this game up for us. Ok, I got ya. I won't vote. I'll drag it out instead" His thoughts: 'Yes, Ranmaru. Goddammit. I'm like "any day now, Ranmaru will post vote:Stels.... any day now.... Ranmaru? RANMARU?" Had to make idle chatter in the mean time.' Fun game none the less. I played well early but lurked later on because of LoL and stuff. |

To be fair, both the scum were having difficulties accessing computers enough times, so I'd have to be careful when they have time to play. Town win.
