Friends and Enemies is an Open Setup game which consists solely of Masons, Mafia and Townies.
Friends and Enemies
The original Friends and Enemies was developed by Patrick, and originally ran in May 2007.
Friends and Enemies Deadly Alliance
Also known as Friends and Enemies 2.0., this variation introduced by Albert B. Rampage added a 1-shot day-vig ability that was randomly given to one of the twelve players as part of their role pm.
Friends and Enemies and Enemies
The Friends and Enemies and Enemies variation introduced by Gamma added a werewolf group to the game.

Friends, Enemies and that other guy
Another variation introduced by Korts, replaced a mason with a backup mason. The backup mason becomes a mason upon death of either mason, and initially gets a vanilla PM. Masons are not informed who the mysterious backup mason is until one of them dies.

Standard Role PMs
These are the standardized role PMs for easy use:
Mafia
- You are a member of the Mafia with XXXXX. You may talk with your partner at night. Have one person PM me the name of the player you wish you die on behalf of the mafia each night. The named player will be killed. You win when at least half of the living players are mafia, or when nothing can prevent the same.
Mason
- You are a Mason with XXXXX. You know XXXXX to be innocent. You may communicate with your partner at night. You have no nightchoice. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Townie
- You are a Vanilla townie. Your only power is your vote. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Werewolf
- You are a Werewolf and XXXXX is your mate. You may talk with your mate at night. One of you should PM me the name of the player to be eaten each night. The named player will be kibbles and bits. You win when at least half of the living players are werewolves, or when nothing can prevent the same.
