Cowardly variant
The Cowardly Reporter can choose to use the Reporter's usual ability, or hide in the newsroom to avoid being killed (but can not hide on consecutive Nights).
Alternate role
Alternately, a reporter works exactly like a PO except that they can publish their results at any time, giving all players an anonymous tip towards the role of any specific player. This variant is self-aligned and wins when all other power-roles are dead, including such things as town bodyguards and mafia alike.
