Of course this has given rise to strategies like [[Lepton's Gambit]], where a [[Mafia]] member claims to be something he isn't in order to avoid lynching, and possibly lynch someone else he believes to be one of the [[Roles#Power Roles|Power Roles]] instead.


Note that when claiming, it is very important that you do not simply repeat your [[Role PM]].  Almost all [[Mod]]s will [[Modkill]] a player who quotes his Role PM in whole or in part.  So it is essential to paraphrase, describing the role in your own words.

Note that when claiming, it is very important that you do not simply repeat your Role PM. Almost all Mods will Modkill a player who quotes his Role PM in whole or in part. So it is essential to paraphrase, describing the role in your own words.
