Fiasco's Setups: A Three Part Series

I am currently modding Part Two in a Three Part Series honoring setups, selected by those who found the poll, invented by the wonderful late Fiasco. All three setups will be in the Large Theme section of mafiascum. This bears the distinction as the first three part series honoring someone else's setups, and probably will be the only three part series honoring someone's setups. Fiasco created some wonderful setups and formats that were, before this series, somewhat ignored.

  • Tagline: The Fiasco Setup Series is a dedication to the revolutionary, but unplayed, open setups of mafiascum's Fiasco. In this three part series the mafiascum community will have the chance to decide what setups they want to see played.

Games Modded

Since apparently even I can't keep track, here are the games I've modded, with additional notes, setup peculiarities, etc.

  • Open 19: Nightless Mafia
    • Format: Open Setup
    • Setup: Nightless Mafia. Eight town, four scum.
    • Special Circumstances: Other than Nightless, none.
    • Result: Town Win
    • Notes: My first modding game, although not my first completed modded game. I believe it holds the record as the longest mini game ever run, at 89 pages and nearly a year in time.
  • Simenon's Too Much Scum
    • Format: Mini Normal with an Open Setup.
    • Setup: An eight player version of Kelly's Jungle Republic.
    • Special Circumstances: None.
    • Result: Serial Killer Win
    • Notes: First completed game. Well contested by all.
  • Newbie 511
    • Format: Newbie Game
    • Setup: New C9. Two mafia, Five townies specifically.
    • Special Circumstances: None
    • Result: Town Win.
    • Notes: First time modding a newbie game. Everything was nice and smooth.
  • Basically Communist Mafia
    • Format: Mini Theme
    • Setup: Basic Mafia with an added Kill-immune and Investigation-immune Serial Killer.
    • Special Circumstances: The town was allowed to vote for both the targets of the Doctor and the targets of the cop, an original format for mafiascum. Also, the town was under an 18 day deadline.
    • Result: Town Win
    • Notes: Setup was tilted towards the Serial Killer. Still, it was a blast to mod.
  • Overeager Medical Student Mafia
    • Format: Mini Theme
    • Setup: A closed setup with a special role-related no-reveal mechanic.
    • Special Circumstances: It was a speed mafia game with deadline rules.
    • Result: Mafia Win
    • Notes: Sadly, the deadline rules were wrong. I still like the setup, although it was in favor of the mafia. It was also really hard to mod.
  • Fiasco's Setups Part I: Loser Mafia
    • Format: Large Theme
    • Setup: 11 Townies, 2 Mafia.
    • Special Circumstances: Whoever loses first, wins.
    • Result: Mafia Wins (or loses)
    • Notes: Turned out to be a fun game for me, despite the players not having much fun.
  • Fiasco's Setups Part II: Trash Talk Mafia
    • Format: Large Theme
    • Setup: 11 Townies, 2 Mafia, 2 Unkillable Unlynchable Advisors
    • Special Circumstances: None
    • Result: Ongoing
    • Notes: Ongoing
  • Newbie 587: Murder is Easy
    • Format: Newbie Game
    • Setup: F11
    • Special Circumstances: None
    • Result: Ongoing
    • Notes: Ongoing
  • Mini 667: Random C9
    • Format: Semi-Open
    • Setup: Randomly chosen among seven c9 games.
    • Special Circumstances: None.
