'/cows' was a phrase first introduced in the thread I Lose! in Mish Mash. It is a parody of /in.

/cows became a popular thing to say, and all the cool kids were totally /cows.

Eventually, yellowbounder made a game based on /cows - Mini 459. The game ended with everyone being able to say /cows, which is a fun thing indeed.

/cows is in popular use in all cool games. You can instantly make a game cool by saying /cows.

Many other upcoming games, such as /Cows 2 and Fish Monkey God will feature /cows.
