Survivor is a type of large social game played in The Whole Sort of General Mish Mash. Survivor is based on the television show and often relies on various categories of challenges to test various aspects of intelligence/skill. Either individuals or tribes will compete in challenges to determine who will become immune from tribal council for that time period. Based on the type of game and the moderator requirements, challenges may take place in various formats to increase efficiency or engagement.
Challenge Types
- Live: Typically means that in order to win, you must be present for the challenge. You should be there at the beginning of the challenge as it will be timed and the winner may be determined by time limit or how many actions you can complete before other players. Typically you may have interaction with other players during a live challenge and this may determine your ability to complete the challenge.
- Semi-live: Typically means that in order to win, you must interact with a mod, player, or other in a live-fashion, but it may not be required for all players in the entire game to be online at the same time. As such, it may indicate that your entire tribe (or those who are competing) must be together at the same time to interact with each other, or that you must interact with another person to complete the challenge and time may be a factor.
- Non-live: Typically means that in order to win, you must best others in which interactin with others is not a factor. Win criteria may be based on efficiency, skill, etc. Timing may be a factor here as the quickest time could be a win criteria, but it does not rely on others' participation in this case. An example may be having the fastest time in a flash challenge.
