Don't try to outguess the mod.  A good one will have already planned for it, and you'll probably ruin the game either way.  If you don't outguess the mod though, you may turn a flawed setup into a playable one.

Outguessing the Mod, or Pseudo-Metagaming, is the act of trying to infer the roles and mechanics in the game you are presently in based on attempts to recreate the moderator's thought process from when they were designing the game.

Most moderators specifically design their setups to punish this, though - nobody wants to design a "cookie cutter" setup - so this does not work very often at all.
