False Roles are bastard roles that do not actually have any effects (including active, targeted, and passive effects).
A moderator would include a role like this only when they are trying to create confusion and frustration among their players. It can be used with virtually any power role or other modifier as it negates everything and turns any role into a virtual Townie or Goon. Note that the win condition is unaffected by the modifier.
Of course, moderators should never tell players that their role is false as it would defeat the purpose of the role. It is also impossible to have a False Vanilla Townie.
Examples
- False 1-Shot Vigilante is simply a Vanilla Townie.
- False Mafia Roleblocker is simply a Mafia Goon.
- False Lyncher is still a Lyncher.
