White Flag is a variation from normal mechanics whereby if there is only one scum left, he "surrenders" to the town.
This mechanic allows a game with fewer players to use more scum, and it has the potential to increase the likelihood scum will have to protect their own.
It is conceptually similar -- though not identical -- to polygamous mafia. In essence, the last two mafia left become lovers.
