Inadvertent Mountainous

Inadvertant Mountainous is a Bastard Mod game theme created by somestrangeflea. It was originally a 7 player setup with:

• 2 Investigation Immune Mafia
• 1 Nurse
• 1 Deputy
• 1 Miller
• 2 Vanilla Townies

However, the theme can be expanded to encompass the following definition:

An Inadvertent Mountainous game is a game in which a majority of role PMs are designed to give the impression that the Town or Mafia have Power Roles, when in fact neither do.

Take the setup above. The Nurse could only begin protecting once the Doc dies, but since there is no Doc, the Nurse never can take advantage of this; likewise with the Deputy. The Miller would show as Guilty to investigations, but since there is no Cop, this is irrelevant. The Mafia are investigation immune, but again this makes no practical difference.

The game can be made Inadvertent Mountainous by using a number of the following roles:

• Backups to roles which don't exist.
• Enablers to roles which don't exist.
• Millers.
• Investigation Immune Mafia.
• Psychiatrists with no Serial Killers

Oman's Mini 562 was an Inadvertent Mountainous game which featured an SK-less Psychiatrist, a Cop-less Retired Cop, and a useless Mafia Roleblocker.
