Occasionally, players will disappear from MafiaScum without warning or hope of returning. When a Game Moderator does this mid-game, it can leave a game abandoned and idling without someone to process Night Choices or do Vote Counts. Sometimes, the game can be revived (especially if it has an Open Setup), but more frequently it simply has to be abandoned for dead after a reasonable period of time.
This is just one reason why it can be so helpful to have a Co-Moderator.
