There are four new roles, Doctor, Melancholic, and Suicidal. One villager starts out the game as Melancholic.
New roles
Melancholic and Suicidal
- Melancholic and Suicidal players have no special abilities.
- Melancholic and Suicidal players count as village for parity purposes.
- At the outset of the game, it is destined that on some random morning, after Day 1 and before Day 15, the Melancholic player will become Suicidal.
- When the village at large is told in the morning, "One among the village has fallen Deeply Melancholic," this means that the following morning, the Melancholic will become Suicidal.
- A Melancholic player has the same win condition as a regular villager.
- A Suicidal player's win condition changes, so that he only wins when either:
- His faction loses; or
- He gets killed by any means (lynching, gunshot, or night kill).
Otherwise, the Suicidal player loses.
Doctor (or Clinical Psychologist)
The Doctor can tell in the night whether a player is a Sleepwalker, Insomniac, Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, or Suicidal.
