There are three new roles, Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, and Suicidal. One villager starts out the game as Melancholic.
New roles
- Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, and Suicidal players have no special abilities.
- Melancholic, Deeply Melancholic, and Suicidal players count as village for parity purposes.
- At the outset of the game, it is destined that on some random morning, after Day 1 and before Day 15, the Melancholic player will become Suicidal.
- When a Melancholic player is told in the morning that he has fallen Deeply Melancholic, this means that the following morning, he will become Suicidal.
- A Melancholic or Deeply Melancholic player has the same win condition as a regular villager.
- A Suicidal player's win condition changes, so that he only wins when either:
- His faction loses; or
- He gets killed by any means (lynching, gunshot, or night kill).
Otherwise, the Suicidal player loses.
