There are three new roles, Melancholy, Deeply Melancholy, and Suicidal. Two villagers start out the game Melancholy.
New roles
Melancholy, Deeply Melancholy, and Suicidal players have no special abilities.
At the outset of the game, it is destined that on some random day before Day 14, the Melancholy player will become Deeply Melancholy; and that on some random day after the day in which he becomes Deeply Melancholy, and before Day 15, he will become Suicidal.
A Melancholy or Deeply Melancholy player has the same win condition as a regular villager.
A Suicidal player's win condition changes, so that they only win when either:
- Their faction loses; or
- They get killed by any means (lynching, gunshot, or night kill).
Otherwise, the Suicidal player loses.
