A King is a power role whose ability is to have sole say over who gets executed (eliminated) that Day. The role is typically granted temporarily via a game mechanic or via a "Kingmaker" role, rather than being permanently attached to a particular player.
In Assassin in the Palace

The King is a player who is central to the Town. If the King ever dies (either by the elimination or to the Assassin), the game is over and the Assassin wins.
In War in the Palace
The King is a player who is central to their Kingdom. He can attempt 1 kill at any time when certain conditions are met. If the King ever dies, their kingdom falls and their guards will suicide.
