A falseclaim is a Claim that is, to some extent, untrue. It may be anything from lying about an Alignment to contriving an entirely new role. A falseclaim is usually made by Scum players, as Town players are typically better off not lying, with very few exceptions (see Lynch All Liars).
Some Moderators will give the scum "safe false claims", or safe claims, which mean that nobody in the game has the same role, thus preventing a Counterclaim. It also makes a Mass claim a much less effective Breaking Strategy.
