SCIENCE! was an Open Setup created by Ether for seven players. It popularized the Mafia Encryptor in a time when daytalk was still rare. (Although the game itself would have had no functional difference if it had used universal daytalk instead.)

Discussion

If either Mafioso is eliminated, the scum cannot daytalk during the Day regardless. Therefore, the Mafia Encryptor is functionally identical to a Mafia Goon.

The EV Project has calculated that the theoretical chance of a Town win for this setup is about 37.2% based on an ideal claiming strategy.
