Rebels in the Palace is an Open Setup designed by Xylthixlm and taking its name from Assassin in the Palace by Kelly Chen. Its important to note that in AITP the guards and king or kingdom is town. And the assassin is scum. While in RITP the guards and king or kingdom is scum. And the rebels are town
Setup and Mechanics
- 1 King (doesn't know anyone, wins if King + Guards >= Rebels)
- X Guards (know who King is but not who the other Guards are, win if King + Guards >= Rebels) (X=2 is believed most balanced)
- 2(X+1) Rebels (win if King is eliminated via the vote)

You are the King! To win you must eliminate enough rebels that you and your loyal guards outnumber OR EQUAL them. You lose if you are eliminated.
Guard
You are one of X guards to the Magnificent King ____. To win you must eliminate enough rebels that you, your fellow guards, and the King outnumber OR EQUAL them. You lose if the King is eliminated.
Rebel
You are one of 2(X+1) rebels. You win when the King is eliminated. But who is the King? Happy hunting... You lose if the King and guards outnumber OR EQUAL you.
