Nomination Mafia is an open setup designed by Hoopla.

Nomination Mafia

  • 3 Mafia Goons
  • 8 Townies

Special Lynch Mechanic

On odd-numbered Days, normal lynching mechanics apply.

On even-numbered Days, a nomination mechanic applies to the lynch. At the start of Day, the mafia get to select any three players (including themselves) to be available to be lynched. The mod announces who the nominated players are for this day, and then everyone (including the three nominated) can only place votes on those three players until one is lynched.

Town must lynch every day; as such, a plurality lynch rule applies at deadline if the town cannot decide.

Notes

  • The game is vanilla and Nightless.
  • Mafia may discuss in their QuickTopic during the day.

Standard Role PMs

Mafia Goons

You are a mafia goon with YYY and ZZZ.

Before the start of each even-numbered day, you may select three players (including yourselves) to be available for the day's lynch. No other player may be lynched that day. You must submit your selections before the end of the previous day (e.g., submit your choices for Day 2 before Day 1 ends)! The day ends when I come in to lock the thread. If I do not receive your selections in time, I will select 3 players at random.

You may communicate with your fellow mafia goons in this QuickTopic.

You win when the number of mafia equals or exceeds the number of remaining town players or when nothing can prevent such an occurrence; at least one member of the mafia must remain standing.

Townies

You are a townie.

You have no special abilities beyond the right to vote. However, each even-numbered day, you will be restricted to voting one of three players nominated by the mafia for that day's lynch. Normal lynching mechanics apply on odd-numbered days.

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated and at least one member of the town remains standing.
