The uninformed majority of the players (and any allies) are generally collectively known as the Town. While they are frequently not explicitly structured as a faction, they do have a collective win condition and should work together to eliminate Scum. Factions or roles with this win condition are called pro-town.
Note that "Town" can also be used as a general term to refer to everyone in the game, regardless of their alignment.
