The Reporter can check a player's house to find out if they are home (anyone doing something during the night is not home).
Variants
A reporter can be responsible for what information is made available to the other players at the beginning of a day phase. Especially if it's made with the flavor of a newspaper. This can be an active role (the players writes their own articles) or a passive (information is made available by the moderator as long as the reporter role is alive).
