- Formally, it is used as a distinction for a player between Newbie and Inexperience Challenged (i.e. Experienced), for players with two finished games on mafiascum.net. SE players in the Newbie Queue occupy an SE slot in games and are typically interested in becoming an IC one day. They are a bridge between the Newbe and IC players.
- Informally, anyone who feels that they are no longer a "noob" but is not yet confident enough in his/her abilities, may consider him/herself semi-experienced.
