With that opening moderator MeMe crafted a specialized mafia roleset for the iconic Princess Bride movie.

Role PMs

Westley
You are Westley. You are trying to find Miracle Max by checking one person nightly (even if you’re already dead). If you locate him while he still lives, you will receive a miracle pill (with chocolate coating, to make it go down easier), which will be used to revive you if you should need it. If you do not locate Miracle Max on nights one or two, you may investigate two people on nights three and four – then back to one person nightly for the remainder of the game.

You win once all evil elements have been cast out of Florin

To be sent to Westley if he’s found by Buttercup: You have been reunited with you true love, Buttercup, and you are now free to speak to her at night. You have the nightly option to protect Buttercup; if you make this choice and she is targeted, you will die in her stead (unless someone protects you).

To be sent to Westley after he’s been brought back to life: Miracle Max’s pill resurrected you! However, you are in a weakened state, leaving you unable to vote today. You may talk as much as you want, though.

Buttercup
You are Buttercup. You long to see your sweet Westley again! By mentioning the full name of a player (no abbreviations) in the same post in which you use the word “love,” you may check that person at night to see if he is your beloved Westley (up to two people nightly). If you fulfill the posting requirement for more than two players, you must choose which to investigate from among them. If you locate him, you will become a mason group and be able to talk with him at night. clarification addendum: you will be unable to search for Westley on night 1

You win once all evil elements have been cast out of Florin

To be sent to Buttercup once Westley is found: You have been reunited with you true love, Westley, and you are now free to speak to him at night. Westley has been given the nightly option to protect you; if he makes this choice and you are targeted, he will die in your stead (unless someone protects him).

Prince Humperdinck You, Count Rugen, and the Albino form the mafia group in Florin. Nightly, you will confer with the others and make a decision on whom to target. It is your job to make the final decision if a consensus cannot be reached and to send the target’s name to me. All three of you appear guilty when investigated. The Albino is a doctor.

Once during the course of the game, you may choose to block a lynch. PM me during the day, before the death scene is posted, and the life will be spared (even your own). The day will end as usual and no one will be told who/what prevented the death.

You, Prince Humperdinck, and the Albino form the mafia group in Florin. Nightly, you will confer with the others and make a decision on whom to target. It is Humperdinck’s job to make the final decision if a consensus cannot be reached and to send the target’s name to me. As second-in-command, if the Prince is killed, the decision-making and communication responsibilities fall to you. All three of you appear guilty when investigated. The Albino is a doctor and Humperdinck can block one lynch.

You win if at least one of your team is the last standing

You, Prince Humperdinck, and Count Rugen form the mafia group in Florin. Nightly, you will confer with the others and make a decision on whom to target. It is Humperdinck’s job to make the final decision if a consensus cannot be reached and to send the target’s name to me. As low man on the three-man pole, the only way you’re gonna be making the decisions is if the other two members of your crew are killed – and that wouldn’t be a good thing. All three of you appear guilty when investigated. Humperdinck can block one lynch.

You also have standard doctor abilities. Nightly, you may choose one player to protect from bodily harm (you may elect to protect yourself no more than twice throughout the course of the game).
