Vote for Town Mafia is an experimental Open setup in which being voted for, and leaving the game as a result, is a good thing rather than a bad thing. Both factions, scum and town, aim to look town in order to get people to vote for them, and the game is based around townhunting rather than scumhunting.
Setup
- Nightless
- 6 Vanilla Townies
- 2 Mafia Goons
- Players may not self-vote except to hammer, but may self-hammer
- Every day, the player with the most votes leaves the game (in a similar style to the usual Day voting); but this helps their side's Win Condition rather than hurting it
- If enough townies manage to leave the game that Mafia are left making up half the remaining playerlist, town wins
- If every member of the Mafia manages to leave the game, scum win
Note that something special will need to be done about modkills, such as making them an autoloss for the offender's faction or replacing modkilled players, because removing a player from the game is no longer a penalty.
The setup is probably also balanced at 9:3, although 12 players is likely too many for a Nightless to be enjoyable.
