Grey Flag Nightless is a 9-player Open setup by callforjudgement, created for the 2015 Open Setup Design Contest (and winning equal third place). It is based on an earlier setup Black Flag Nightless (which had had one test run in the Open queue at the time), but makes balance changes and simplifies the victory condition. The setup is effectively mountainous – all townies are identical, and all scum are identical, with minimal powers.
Expected value is 45.9% to town.
Setup
- 6 × Vanilla Townie
- 3 × Vengeful Mafioso
Mechanics
- Nightless.
- White Flag; the second death of a Mafia ends the game in town victory.
- The death of a Vengeful Mafia sends the game to a Night phase, so that they can decide upon the kill.
- All three Mafia get to participate in deciding the kill, during the game's one and only Night phase (including the one who was just eliminated). However, the eliminated Mafia leaves the game at the end of the Night and can no longer communicate.
