ok, so i edited the code so that the "#" symbol comes first... this way i was able to "include" it in the Color & Player Role templates... that way for the color variable in both, you can just type the color or the hexadecimal, or the 3 "double-digit" code... plus you don't have to include the "#" sign, something i'm ALWAYS forgetting...  i think it could be implemented into the Night Choice template as well, but i'm tired, and going to bed soon...-- LyingBrian 03:35, 21 August 2007 (MDT)

ok, not going to bed as soon as i thought... i wanted to add some colors... what do you think about shortening the color names?.. for example "purple" & "yellow" are just as long as their respective hexadecimal code, (granted their a lot easier to remember, but nonetheless), and "light-green" is almost twice as long... of course i shortened it to "lgreen", but still... the major colors off the top of my head could be...
*red=r
*green=g
*blue=b
*l=light
*d=dark
*y=yellow
*p=purple
*t=teal
*bl=black
*w=white
*g=gray
*o=orange
*br=brown
*pi=pink
*i=indigo? personally i would just use dp for "dark purple"

I expect the template would allow you to use two codes, right, so you could have both r and red? I probably won't use this particular template since I'm comfortable using the color codes directly, but that seems like it might help people. -- Mr. Flay 06:26, 21 August 2007 (MDT)
Giving the option of using either would be ideal. For some, remembering the shorthand codes may be as difficult as remembering the rgb codes ;). --YYCguy 07:34, 21 August 2007 (MDT)
Single-letter names can be confusing for new users. It is that bad to type "reen" after "g"? Anyway, the current version looks very nice.SigmaEpsilon (talk) 09:19, 21 August 2007 (MDT)
We should also remember to include/mimic the colorcode names from the forum (i.e. darkblue, darkred, etc). -- Mr. Flay 10:54, 21 August 2007 (MDT)

Actually, the colors I had listed were the exact shades (where applicable) used in the forum. I think in many cases they are the same as the web standard, but not in every case. -- Mr. Flay 18:30, 21 August 2007 (MDT)
